This fern has been in gardens since Victorian times. It forms a medium to large-sized clump of arching, deep-green fronds, each leaflet "crested" or divided at the tips. Plants are clumping in habit, and well suited to use in any moist, shady situation. Also useful in tubs or mixed containers, combining beautifully with other shade-loving plants. Semi-evergreen in mild winter regions. Grows to 24-48 inches tall and wide.
