'Blue Magoo' is an intermediate-growing upright selection of Engelmann spruce with short grey-blue needles and a dense symmetrical branching structure. This plant is particularly striking in the early spring, as its bright, teal blue, lush new growth appears to weep or droop before eventually stiffening to more typical form in summer. After 10 years, a specimen will be considered mature at 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide, a rate of growth approaching 12 inches per year.
