(Great burnet) The flowers are an oval, pom-pom shape and are extremely attractive to bees. In the wild they can be found growing in damp grasslands and meadows, and along the edges of lakes and rivers. The foliage is said to have a cucumber scent. Sanguisorba officinalis �Pink Tanna� has lovely flowers that are an apple blossom pink, appearing from July to September on tall, airy stems. Further flowers can be encouraged by deadheading spent blooms. Perfect for growing in a moist spot as part of a mixed herbaceous border.
